Back in 2018, Zerund Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. came to life in a college lab, founded by David Pratim Gogoi, Rupam Choudhury, and Mousum, all grads from Assam Engineering College. The trio started their journey as close friends, fueled by their shared vision to revolutionize the construction industry. From their initial camaraderie, their collaboration evolved into a partnership that stemmed from a desire to transform construction practices. Their goal was simple yet ambitious: to
redefine the landscape through sustainable innovation, crafting solutions that truly make a difference.
Amidst a country grappling with a staggering 9.5 million tons of plastic waste annually, Zerund saw an opportunity for transformation. Harnessing over 10,000 tons of waste materials yearly, including plastic and industrial waste, we’ve steered away from the norm. While traditional red brick industries emit 42.64 MT of CO2 annually, our pride lies in being carbon-negative, emitting -0.44 kg CO2 per kg of brick. With a mere 0.013 KWH/kg energy consumption, our process stands 61 times more efficient than that of red bricks, preserving valuable agricultural soil.
But bricks were just the beginning. Our dedication to sustainability led to Zerund Premix, a game-changer in polymer technology. This innovation curtails raw material and water usage, enhancing compressive strength and diminishing water absorption in the final product. With our cutting-edge R&D center, we’re tirelessly exploring newer sustainable construction technologies, turning waste into invaluable wealth.
The soaring demand for Zerund Brick propelled us to expand production, now reaching up to 50,000 cubic meters annually.
Our vision is resolute, our impact tangible, and our commitment unwavering. Join us in crafting a greener, cleaner, and more responsible world. Together, we’re reshaping the building landscape, one brick at a time.
